What was their challenge?
Estuary Homes was a new Community Interest Company with no financial track record. They wanted to provide much-needed housing for women fleeing domestic violence in Hull. They needed to raise significant social investment and if possible, attract grant funding.
What was the support you provided / offered
CERT was able to connect the organisation to social funders and prepare them to take on finance. This included business and financial planning, help with the due diligence process., social impact reporting and locating and building a relationship with a grant funder.
What was the impact or outcome of support?
Estuary Homes attracted £450,000 of social investment and a grant of £30,000.
We genuinely believe that CERT's support and advice were instrumental in securing the funding we needed to get the organisation on it's feet. Their approach to supporting social enterprises comprises specialist sector expertise and experience, the willingness to go the extra mile and, above all, a collaborative and friendly approach.
