The team set out to work with investors and funders to prototype a range of concepts and ideas to improve the social investment field for ventures and strengthen the overall effectiveness of the ecosystem.

The team were briefed to encourage tangible ways in which the sector could become more responsive in addressing the needs of ventures and more cohesive overall. The work follows on from the ‘Designing Social investment’ report released in 2014 by the Design Council. The research highlighted a range of issues faced by ventures in accessing social investment and recommended that further work be undertaken to explore potential design solutions to these issues.
