Social Investment Business provides loans, grants and strategic support to charities and social enterprises to help them improve people’s lives.

Social Investment Business and Big Society Capital have launched The Recovery Loan Fund in response to the Covid-19 crisis in order to provide more affordable loans to social enterprises and charities to those already available through CBILS. The fund (RLF) is being delivered by a variety of different investors.

We have helped hundreds of organisations become more resilient and sustainable so that they can grow and increase their impact.

We were one of the UK’s first social investors and since 2002 have provided hundreds of millions of pounds in loans and grants to charities and social enterprises.

We believe in helping organisations get ready to take on the investment they need and have recently managed programmes to help organisations ready to take on investment by providing access to specialist support from approved consultants and advisers.
